I can prime the bulb and it still takes up to 10 key starts before the motor
will finally start, run rough for a few seconds and then it's fine for the rest of the day.
I have noticed if I tilt the motor up it will often start 1st or 2nd turn
    but quickly dies.
I am confused also since there are different types of F60's.

What is the model of the motor? All PrimeStart's are not created equally. Carburetted motors have one type of PrimeStart. EFI motors have a different type.

Why are you riding on this post? Why did you not start your own new post and fully describe your motor and your problem?

Riding on an old or existing post is like going to the library and writing in the books. You would not do that would you?

OK, I thought you wanted help with your problem. If so, let us know.

Many many Yamaha motors will have the same or similar symptoms. The actual problems can be very different. That is, even though two motors may be hard to start the reasons why can be vastly different.

Two people have the exact same stomach ache. One has just simple indigestion and will OK by tomorrow. One has cancer and will die shortly. So it is with motors

            Plus 1 ^^.

Just easier for folks to follow. Of course a year, full model # and all specific issues are a big help..
