  • F115 TLRZ RPM wouldn't max out

I was previously had problems with gas in oil and stuttering at around 2000 rpm ang would not go over 3000 rpm,was told a defective mechanical fuel pump.Replaced it and ran the engine st least 10 miles,it work fine,no stuttering, but would not go over 4000 rpm.
One of my observation is that after running for such a long time, the water coming out ofthe pee hole extermely cold.

    Any possible suggestions

    regards

Dave has the motor ever run over 4000 rpms? How is it propped? Does it seem to run smooth, just won't get over 4k rpms?
The water coming out of the tell-tale (pee hole) should ALWAYS be cool water, it's simply a sign that the water pump is pushing water up to the powerhead.
The primer ball in the fuel line is not collapsing during these high rpm runs is it? No other fuel blockage? I'm just wondering if it's over-propped or something. Should be a 15" - 17" pitch prop most likely.
