that same setup was also the F-T 50 from 96-2000.
as a 40 it was only offered in the US in 99.

There should have been at least several more components they could have added to that motor.
Actually it was later versions of the dreaded F40 that were more problematic than that one. Yamaha put out a video about it. Yamaha wrote about it in the marine technical guide. It whipped many a mechanic.
I figured out how to whip that SOB's arse. Screw the EPA.
EPA is going away anyway. Replaced by TPA. Trump Protection Agency.Comment
