I wonder if the display will now calculate fuel remaining, based on subtraction of fuel used, with the operator being able to add partial fuel loads?

Hopefully Garmin has the expertise to finally correct this Yamaha anomaly.

I would guess yes; based on the description:
"Full-network compatibility allows the user to add multiple Garmin screens, sensors, sonar, weather, radar, autopilot, Fusion Link, IP cameras and more with full system integration and sharing across the entire system."
      and
"with built-in detailed BlueChart g2 U.S. coastal and LakeVü HD maps "

It sounds more like a standard Garmin MFD with additional screens mimicking the existing Command Link "look".

Now I wonder if anything will go the other way -
will Yamaha allow Garmin to display Yamaha proprietary N2K pgns - engine "trouble codes" - in "regular" Garmin MFDs ?

          dang
I cannot take my 290K regulator fishing.
my satilite TV wont interface with the sky hook docking.
couple that with the lose of facebook compatibility offshore I simply cannot fish.
I need a pony, some crayons and some coco.
