  • F50 trim raise

    1995 F50AET /F50TLRT

This week finished the rebuild of a F50 all seemed to be OK
Just is spitting water under the bottow cowling but since the damper seal on the LU is missing I'm almost sure that after feat a new one that will solve the proplem.
Carbs far away to be so easy to tune as my F40 or my F100 carbs and seems to prone to easily detune.

Today I noticed I can raise motor by hand :/

    Manual realease valve is tight.
    oil lever OK

Trim hold the motor even with my weight.

I want to solve this while motor is on the bracket.

oil does not compress, so either it has air in the system or a valve is not holding or is missing

      Hi Yam!

There are a few valves on the system and if someone could point me which one may causing this would be nice.

Hope that Rod or someone else can give me a "hand" here.

      Thanks

I am not much help, so I hope Rod or boscoe will chime in.

        Has this thing been apart?
If so,someone may have left something out or put back together wrong.

they do have release valves that would allow the motor to move when it hit something, but it should take some good pressure to get that to release.
        and the manual release.

is this the single ram system?
I am in Kennesaw GA at the moment and away from my books.
I may try to slip by the drive train class and get a cheat sheet.
