          The clear head was thick glass, not plastic. Glass of that thickness is pretty damn tough! Depending on the make up of the glass, it has a melting point between 1000°C-2000°C.

            Glass is much better than plastic for this head but I sure wouldn't want to be standing too close if it somehow shattered or blew out!.....very interesting watching in slow motion!...

              Very interesting, love this sort of stuff.
              Can see potential for disarster, and "do not try this at home" warning.
              Windows with cameras makes for a whole different type of diagnostics as well as for design/fuel/lubrication or whatever experimentation and development.
