I want to buy the right length cable before I install it. 1994 2 stroke with a yam binnacle, look to be original cables. Heard somewhere the length is marked on them somewhere. Any truth to this ?

Mine are. I guess the best way to see if yours are is to take a look!Originally posted by scofflaw View PostI want to buy the right length cable before I install it. 1994 2 stroke with a yam binnacle, look to be original cables. Want the correct cable in hand and attached to the old cable before I pull it through, it's a seriously tight fit under my deck. No markings on the 2 ft. I can see by the binnacle. Motor end is sun washed, and 12 feet under deck is inaccessible. If I could view the whole cable, it would be easy enough just to measure itOriginally posted by cpostis View PostMine are. I get that... In hot and sunny SWFlorida.... trying to avoid down time hunting up a new cable. May not have a choice. Even though the cable works fine, the elements have rotted the outer casing in a 2 inch spot by the engine, where I can see the inner cable.Originally posted by walleye1 View PostPull a 1/4 inch rope with the old cables and pull
new cables with the rope.
