can anyone help I just changed water pump and now getting water coming out between gear box and leg were it seperates, ie smell cut out used to split box from leg cheers

Take it apart. Something not assembled correctly. Can't say as we cannot see the details inside. Don't continue to run it.

Perhaps some orings were pinched when you bolted back together?
You can use gobs of grease to hold them in place as you reassemble.

Could be the large o-ring that rests in the groove of the pump housing base. This o-ring can pop out of the groove as you're mounting the housing down onto the plate if you're not careful.

Disassemble and look for that. When reassembling, it's helpful to grease inside the groove before inserting o-ring. This will help the o-ring stick in the groove as you install the housing down onto the plate.

actually it is normal.
as long as you have good water pressure from the tell tale.
