How big is big? I was on a 300 foot plus destroyer escort in the USN and there were many times when we were stuffing the bow. I never rode around on an air craft carrier but guys that did reported water coming over the bow in big water.

apparently you are talking about too big of waves for the size of boat
or the waves are too far apart

when the props come out of the water you know it is getting rough

Stuffing the bow is normal. Pitch pole roll is bad...

Might want to check out this review and blog on this page:

Bravo I FS Performance Update | Mercury Racing

Seems to me the most advantage of this prop is for better top end due to ability of raising of your engine and reducing drag for better top end speed.

I had talked to Scot about the prop, he said it will
help with prop slip in heavy seas. It will give you
more stern and bow lift. I've only been on Erie a
couple times where you could run wot. We will
              see.

1968 ~ 1972. Fought the battle of Barbers Point, Hawaii. It was tuff duty but I manned up for the job. Spent the worst 43 days of my life at sea. Shore duty was good. When they sent me TDY to a boat I was wishing I had joined the Air Force.

Could have been worse. You could have spent months sloshing around off the coast of Vietnam.

Or worse still, slogging through the rice paddies of Vietnam in combat boots. I was drafted by the Army in early 1968. Joined the Navy as a draft dodger to keep from going to Nam.

"South"... 'ya know that there's an ocean on the East coast of the US, too, right?
We need more abbreviations!!.. RB answers for a lower unit, FS=four stroke, others for different things...

Many posts before we figure out it's a MERCURY propeller question...

I thought is was a Mercury Bravo 1 propeller made specially for a Fish and Ski boat.

I know exactly what I am thinking when I am typing. How come many reading my typing don't know exactly my thoughts? Why are so many so wrong? It can't be my fault.

Now see, I originally thought it was Bravo 1 For Sale... and you wanted to know how dependable they were. It may make sense in your head, but you have spell things out because we can only go on what we are reading. Or, at least, I have yet to figure out a way to read minds... although my wife apparently expects me to....
