  • Looking part number

    Hi everyone,
I am from Brazil and I am looking for a part number for a THROTTLE SENSOR
Here my outboard is an F225 AETX but i didnt find this one on Yamaha Outboards . The most similar component I found in F225TXR 0410 (part number 6S1-85885-00-00). Anyone can help me?

What makes you think that part number 6S1-85885-00-00 is not the correct part?

Since you are in Brazil and we don't have the F225AETX here in the US it would be useful if you provide the complete identity for your specific motor. It begins with the number 6 and is on a data plate affixed to the left hand clamp bracket.

        Could also be this...

        69J-85885-00-00

Depends, US or non-US, Model year?

If anyone would know, it would be Agent 99 (Bosco)!

Could be. But in this instance it is not.

Early 3.3L F225's used a 69J prefix part number. Later 3.3L F225's used a 6S1 prefix part number. That is why one usually needs the engine PID to know the correct part number for sure.

69JX 1029177 was a 2007 production year motor. Beginning with motors with a production date of April 2005 the 6S1 prefix part number replaced the 69J prefix part number.

I bet if the OP checks his motor he will find on the other side of the clamp bracket a sticker that indicates his motor was made some time after April 2005.

So, 6S1 is the correct part for 69JX 1029177.

I should have mentioned to the OP that only motors sold in the US are in the Yam USA parts books. That is why he cannot find an F225AETX model. That particular model is not sold in the US. But its equivalent is. The equivalent is the F225TXR.
