Motor is on a boat that is in water and not possible to haul, I know how to change gearlube when in proper position, I've done that for 40 years, I've just never had to try this way. If not a proven and tried way I won't even consider it and wait until hauled, common sense will prevail.Last edited by donsmarine; 09-17-2016, 08:56 PM.

Probably your best bet to just wait until you can pull the boat out of the water....not to mention dropping the drain plugs, screwdrivers and oil spilled into the water....If there was a suitable beach, landing or grounding area on your waterway maybe you could back the boat up so the motor would at least be out of the deep water?....just a thought...Originally posted by donsmarine View PostMotor is on a boat that is in water and not possible to haul, I know how to change gearlube when in proper position, I've done that for 40 years, I've just never had to try this way.
