  • 90hp New Power Head Installed Wont Go Into Gear?

I installed a new Power Head on a 90hp 2 Stroke. Everything runs, but it won't go into gear. The Lower unit was not touched. I took off the old Power Head and installed a new one. What am I missing?
    Thanks

You screwed it it up some how.
my guess is the shift cable, but who really know what you did

Check your shift cables and linkages, drop lower unit and check shifter shaft, while turning prop shaft turn the splined shift shaft back one forth to locate forward and reverse....

Check to make sure your remote is in neutral.

At the engine end, pop the end of the cable off and slip the "slide" into neutral (there's usually a mark there). Make sure the cable slips on easily, if not re-adjust the cable so it does.

If that doesn't work, plus one on removing the LU.

Make sure ITS in neutral, the shifters in neutral, then re-assemble..

          Please update when you can...
