Today the engine started running rough while the oil/temp red light went on. I shut down the motor and checked the oil reservoir. There seemed to be enough oil in as it was a little more about 1/8 full. I restarted and the motor ran without the light going back on. Although I did not run it in gear at full throttle, I did so in neutral and again the stream of water was not hot and the light did not go on. The local Yamaha dealer, said that I should just put more oil in and "watch it". He said that when the oil is on the low side and you increase or decrease throttle the sloshing around may cause this development. Is there a problem developing here or should I fill up reservoir and monitor?
