HELP!!!! I am working on a 2002 Yamaha 115 4 stroke that has lost almost 1,000 rpm since last summer. It would pull 5,800 easily last year but this year it strains to reach 4,700 rpm on the same boat (28 ft pontoon). It was in the marina last week for oil change and service, was told nothing major was wrong, plugs were not fouled and the gap was correct. The throttle, after the first 75% of travel has no effect either. It has a remote mounted spin on fuel filter and I have added some "gas dryer" (heet) hoping that it may be a water in the fuel issue but after a 2 hour cruse (as well as almost 10 gallons of gas) nothing has changed. Would changing the fuel filter and perhaps adding some fuel injection cleaner help? By the way I don't own this boat, just working on it for a friend. Anyone have any ideas????

Has anything changed on boat, growth on bottom of hull, water in pontoons or prop damage?
