I use white spray lithium grease on my tilt and trim motor, pump and bracket and it sets up and stays on there very well, even with salt spray....under the cowling I use a light spray lubricant with an old toothbrush to apply and clean any areas of possible corrosion. Yamaha makes a spray Protective Coating that seems to work well....

Boeshield T9 is really good. I use it, but it is very expensive (not compared to expense of repairs/replacement of corroded components and avoidable breakdowns). The thing about it is, I researched T9's chemical make up. Basically it is about 65% odorless mineral spirits/35% white mineral oil. Haven't tried mixing and using it yet, maybe I will when my $20 can runs out.Originally posted by rodbolt17 View Postfluid film or boeshield T9.Chuck,
