Just to let you guys know...

After a recent tear down and assembly, I've been going through details on making my engine reliable as possible. I found the fuel rail hoses to be somewhat soft in my opinion. Also, I did previously replace the crimp style clamps with worm screw type stainless. I don't like the flat spot where the screw is on the clamps. Besides, I found the clamps I got did NOT have stainless worm screws (magnet pics them up). The bands are stainless. Yamaha's cost for these crimp clamps are ridiculous. I found 3/8 in. Stainless Steel PEX Clamp (10-Pack) at Home Depot for $4.98 a 10 pk. (SharkBite Model # UC952A). 3/8" PEX works on 5/16" EMF-EFI hose.

    Bon Voyage!

keep a fire extinguisher handy at all times,
they recommend never using worm clamps

Thus the PEX clamps and new EMF-EFI hose. I think a lot of mariners may neglect this maintenance issue!
