Motor help please!!!

I have a 01 Yamaha 90hp 2 stroke. I had issues and was towed in. It chugged and then quit. I had this happen 1 other time and changed the fuel water separator and everything was fine, but not this time. The top carb is blowing back air and fuel from the air filter side. Changed the fuel water filter and cleaned the filter on the motor and changed the plugs. Suggestions..

Reply back with your engine model number so the pros on here can better assist you. Not following you with the above quote...blowing back? You saying fuel is coming out of the silencer?? Also, are you referring to the intake silencer by naming it air filter?

Sounds like the float is stuck.

Reed not closing/sealing would allow blow back out of carb
