  • Oil pump priming

I searched the posts and knowledge base but could not find the correct procedure to prime my oil pump...it is an injected model so does it need to be hooked into the vapor tank to prime correctly? i tried turning the pump counter clockwise with with a cordless but saw no output.

If it's the OX66 efi model then put oil in gas(50:1 mix), if it's a HPDI efi model then do not add oil to gas. Loosen the bleed screw on oil pump(HPDI model remove bleed screw and let oil run for one minute) and let oil come out until no more air is seen. Remove the oil pump link arm to carb and set oil pump lever to full throttle position. Start and run engine for at least 10 minutes at idle or until air is out of oil injection lines. Reconnect oil link arm. On HPDI model run at 3000 rpm's or less for next 50 minutes. 4000 rpm's for next hour. After 3 hours don't run full throttle for more than 5 minutes at a time.
