  • no power

I purchased 1985 220 special as a repower for my 17' liberator tunnel. Motor did not come with battery cables. I connect positive cable to starter relay which is the only lead that goes there. I have no power to 703 con*****er. Where does system 12v come from? My old 200 mercury got it from starter solenoid. I think I'm missing a harness part.

I gather your not in the US as I don't see your engine in the parts fisch...

Anyway, I suspect, power goes back up to the control box thru the main Yamaha, factory wiring harness.

There's no reason to have battery cable sized lines running up there. All the heavy load, etc is between the battery, starter, etc.

Did you get gauges, a harness etc with the engine? That main harness should have everything in it for at least a basic install/running engine.. There wouldn't be any reason to hack it up and remove any wiring...
