Besides the name, what is the difference between a 2003 V150TLRB and a 2003 150 VMAX? Which engine would be considered to be of higher quality?

If the letter V is used in front of the HP rating it is a Vmax model. Could be a V150, a VX150, a VZ150 or a VF150. Without the letter V in front it won't be a 150 Vmax although you might see it written that way by the unknowing.

All the Vmax really is saying is that it has a 20 inch shaft length suitable for a bass boat or a bay boat. It is marketing voodoo doodoo.
