1988 2hp model 2SG

Can someone tell me what the short shaft length is? I found one I want to buy, it's 17".. Not a short or a long. Strange? I need a 15".

If I buy the 17" and want to swap out to a 15" if it's available is it a simple swap?

A 2SG is designed to be used on a boat that has a 15" transom height.

If you are measuring from the lower surface of the top of the clamp bracket to the anti-ventilation plate you may find that it is longer than 15 inches. 16.4 inches to be exact.
