  • HPDI high idle

    2009 HPID 200 Z200TXR
The motor ran good last time out. Started it on the hose this morning and it idles at 14 - 1500 RPM
Unhooked throttle plates from the linkage,it all works smooth and returns all the way to closed position. Any thoughts on way it's idling so high.
    Thanks.

Could be a sensor fault in which case the motor will run at a higher than normal RPM.

It really needs to be in the water for a more meaningful check of the idle RPM.

      Thanks
I backed the idle screw out and restarted the motor idle was back to 600 and stays there. I do think its one of the sensors because I know the idle screw didn't screw it's self in. Which sensor would most likely be at fault.

remember, especially on a flusher, that motor may idle very high until the temp sensor reads above 113*F.
you may now have to reset the TPS.

there is NO idle speed adjustment screw.
