  • Power trim/tilt not working

I have a 2015 T9.9XPHB outboard motor. The tilt/trim is not working. There is electrical power to the motor and I checked and replaced the fuses (2 10amp).
When I left the boat in storage the motor was in the “down “ position. When I returned 2 months later it was in the “up” position. Not sure how that happened or if it was a result of a failure of some sort.
The motor won’t lift or lower when I engage the switch and there is no clicking sound coming from the relay. Could it be the switch or the motor? Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I would appreciate any help or advice.
    Thanks!

What "motor" are you referring to that has power? Engine or tilt motor? Need clarification.

    But... in the meantime...

It could be the switch... the motor... the relay... the battery... the wiring... any of those are possibilities.

2 months in storage with the battery left connected... it could be very low. Have you charged/load tested your battery?

Check for power on the line side of the switch... then check on the load side when pressed. Start there. Then go to the relay, etc, etc.
