head gasket, glue side to what -block or head?

Hello working on 90's v6 200 2 stroke, do maintance, cleaning salt out of the old girl,was never taken care of before I got them,(twins). New gasket foe boats.net and no say in service manual. Thanks,Ray.

I think the question is the imprinted side goes which direction.
both sides have a heat activated sealer(Yamaha).
I typically place the imprinted side towards the head.
I don't think it really matters.

Thank both of you for your reply. I did as Rodbolt said, I put the imprinted side with the most toward the head.

typically if the "fire ring" has two different widths, the wide side goes to the block.
however not all manuals nor parts diagrams explain it.
not all head gaskets use two widths.
