  • oil injection removal

I have a 1991 225 tlrp. I removed the oil injection while I was rebuilding the powerhead. What do you have to do to keep horn from going off. I linked the 2 wires going to the oil sending unit in the remote tank. And linked the 2 wires that read full oil in the oil tank on motor. It has a digital tach, with only the wires from the control box hooked to it. Oil indicator on gauge is reading low oil (yellow light). Thanks for any help. David

ps I forgot to mention that the horn goes off after the rpm goes above 1200-1300. And the timing is not being advanced.

You have to disconnect wire harness on the engine oil tank sensor from ECU and disconnect remote oil tank wire harness. The yellow light in tach will always be on, you can't disconnect that. Do not link or jump any wires togather.
