  • Yamaha LF115TXRD Command Link and NMEA Compatibility

    hey guys

Curtis here from the southwest corner of Australia.

I have an 06 Polar 23 WA with twin Yamaha F115 engines (both manufactured 11/04) with serial numbers: F115TXRD 68V and LF115TXRD 68W.

I'm looking at upgrading the old analog gauges to newer digital gauges, but I can't seem to find any info on the compatible gauges I need to get. I've looked for the NMEA plug but I can't find it so I'm assuming these are not NMEA compatible. the current gauges fitted are manufactured by Faria and not Yamaha. are these engines compatible with the command link gauges, in particular the 6Y8 TACHO AND 6Y8 speedo/fuel gauges?

    my ECU's are: 68V-21
    Remote Control is a 704
    ignition panel is: 6K1-01 48H

    any help is greatly appreciated!

    cheers.

According to Yamaha your serial numbers are not Command Link (aka NMEA 2000) capable. Highly unlikely that you will find a Command Link connector affixed to your main engine harness.

Your motors will not support Yamaha 6Y8 instruments. Only 6Y5 digital display instruments of analog needle and dial type.

thanks Boscoe, that helps a lot.

so if I go with the 6Y5-83570-A0-00 spedo and the 6Y5-8350T-D1-00 Tacho, these should be compatible ?
