  • Location of fuses on my OX 66

    I'm back ,
    I have a older OX 66
    2 stroke
    250 HP
Dont know serial , Only its a OX 66 , fuel injected , older model

On utube a guy shows location of fuse box on OX 66 , once fuse cover opened there are 2 relays and 4 fuses plus 2 extras under the fuse cover .

On my OX 66 there is a grey box indicated fuses ,
Opening lid , I do not see fuses
Only a box with connectors , single fuse in that box
    ,
Removed cover on computer , thinking might find fuse box , but nothing ?
Removed Carb side , no fuses

Yamaha is new too me going from IOs
    ,
I had a starting issue after changing fuel filter & fuel water seperator , Turned out too be multiple issues , air in line and key switch ,, broken wire
Everything back tightened down , starts ,
I was thinking fuel pump fuse for starting but cant locate fues box ?????????
WHERE IS THIS FUSE BOX ????

    thanks

appreciate your help & knowledge ,

      # 2 - 80 amp does it have a reset button some place ? wire harness
Other models OX 66 have fuse panel with relays & fuses
Serial number is not readable , and cant find exact year of engine
Did they mount external fuses ? I ask cause under dash there are 5-6 glass fuses that I wondered what they connected 2 ? Definitly not part of the boats 12 volt control panel

I am not aware of any fuses that can be reset.

Any fuses in the boat will not be shown on any diagrams related to the motor.

Yes, different OX 66 models use different fuse configurations.

Seems to me your first question(s) should be related to "how do I go about finding the model of my motor" instead of asking about a fuse box that might not be on a motor.

Those glass fuses wouldn't have anything to do with the motor. The motor is all self contained. The glass fuses must be something with the boat or, at least, maybe it WAS something with the boat that a previous owner installed.

No, a fuse (the 80 amp you're referencing) won't also have a reset button/breaker. That would be double dipping

What does the cowling have on it in the way of graphics?

                Does the motor have a 20", a 25" or a 30" shaft length?

What are the markings on the CDI box?

Is the alternate serial number on the block? A round decal, usually near the starter motor, with some numbers on it.
