  • Yamaha 4 stroke transport

Does anyone know the safe way to transport a Yamaha 4 stroke F40. I'm taking it off my G3 boat and going to install on another boat but have to transport it about 5 hours away

The best way would be to leave it on your boat and tow it to the other boat and take it off there if that is possible. Would not think extra fuel cost significant.
Second best store or mount on a plank as if in full up tilt, packed both sides to stop it tilting onto either side.
Other options would be to drain oil and lay on side. I would have though your manual would say.
Be aware that there will be residual water inside that it does not run back into a possibly open exhaust valve into a chamber. So keep head of engine higher than leg if at all possible.
