After market Rectifier/Regulator

I have to replace my R/R on 2006 F90TLR.

I look around on ebay and see the price is $40 for an after mkt R/R. The OEM part is around $100 and up, doesn't include shipping.

Is it worth paying the extra $$$ to go with the OEM or is the aftermkt good enough?

Any opinions?

If its a CDI {Brand},,Then yes, buy it... better than OEM...anything elese I do not recommend..

I may be wrong, but I didn`t see a CDI avail for the Yamaha 90.

For 40 bucks I would take a shot at it. Let us know what the output voltage is.

By the way, Yamaha does not make their own rectifier/regulators. They outsource this part. Could be that RST makes the Yamaha branded part as well as one that is branded RST.

Is this a typo or is your part # different from those posted above?
