  • NMEA 2K on 2010 115 saltwater series?

    Morning All,

    Can someone tell me if they have managed to connect a NMEA 2K to a 2010 2 stroke 115 saltwater series outboard? Thanks

    no carbureted Yamaha engine has NMEA 2000 connectivity, period.

      Thanks for that, I was aware of that however there are ways to convert from analog to digital for NMEA2K

        What engine information are you expecting to get?

          temps, pressure, rpm, fuel flow. I have had it previously on a F60, however I have purchased a new boat with a 115 saltwater and was after similar info. I know that it can't be got directly however was after ppl's experiences with third party products to convert to NMEA. Cheers

            Fuel flow is actually most certain and easy;
            Garmin and Navico each make a NMEA 2000 flow sensor that is very reliable.
            Temp and cooling water pressure are also possible but configuration -
            identifying the input correctly - may be more challenging.

            Engine rpm is an interesting one -
            I don't think I've ever seen a discrete NMEA 2000 "tachometer" input...
