Noam,
Your Yamaha motor should not need anything higher than 87 octane - anything more, you are wasting money.
Good luck ,

thank's
some guy that came in with piston collapsed (60 hp) and he think it's because he use 95 octane (fuel without lead ) can it be ???

on the other engine (90 hp) was not only the pump
the filter was cracked and replaced all so .

Noam,
We have not had lead in our fuel over here for years now - and no problems with the outboards.
I'm no expert on fuel octane/lead, but I would think 95 octane would not burn completely in a relatively low compression engine.
Using the wrong spark plug (one that is too hot) could lead to piston failure - or a cylinder not getting enough lubrication also.

Glad you found your fuel problem on the 90 hp.
