  • steering lube leaking

years ago I installed a Davis Cable Buddy System on my steering rod to lubricate the steering rod. It has a nut up against the bracket with a hole in it for putting the lube. Most of the lube now is leaking out when I turn the steering wheel. There is a small gap in the steering cable between the coupler nut and steering cable, causing the lube to escape. I installed a new Teleflex steering cable 2 years ago and that's when the problem started. Why do I have this gap when I turn the steering wheel?

a pic would help show us where this gap is.
But my guess is the shaft is smaller or the O-ring/seal is wore out
