YAMAHA 115CV V4 BETO 1991 Lower Unit Removal - Water pump replacement

Hello to all members,

we are trying to remove the lower unit on a YAMAHA 115 CV V4 BETO 1991, to change the water pump, and we are probably missing something because after removing all the bolts, the lower unit doesn't move at all.
Is there something we need to unlock / lock before trying to remove the lower unit ?

If it is not budging at all, I would suspect that the one hidey hole bolt has not been removed. You are not the first. You will not be the last to overlook it.

Do you have 8 bolts removed or perhaps only 7?

Bolt no 15 is in the sharp end (back) has a black plastic plug on top of it. It holds the anode/trim tab up.
The other bolts are all from underneath.

I don’t see that black plastic plug in the diagram???

If I remember well, we removed all the 8 bolts, I will recheck that the next time and let you know the results.
