  • F6MSHA Flushing Question

    Hey guys!

I recently purchased a new F6 for use on my 12’ boat.

I was wondering what the best way is for flushing the motor to test or after running in saltwater. The tried and true bucket of water is always an option but not convenient.

Does anybody know of a set of muffs small enough to fit this motor? My standard ones are too big.

Also, my motor has a wash port on it, but to my surprise there is literally 0 mention of it in the manual. Searching this site I found a post that said ABB-FLUSH-JD-00 is the correct kit to attach a hose to there. Is that accurate? Does the kit come with instructions?

    Thanks!

I doubt that the flush fitting comes with instructions. Remove the plug so the fitting can be installed. Connect a garden hose to the fitting. Turn on the tap. Flush the motor. Reverse the process when done.
