  • Command link round gauges and 2 fuel tanks

I have a 2009 Yamaha f250 with fly by wire. I just installed everything and motor runs great. I have 2 fuel tanks. They are hooked up properly to the pink/black and the other tank is hooked to the pink with tracer/black wires. Apperantly the round guages only show an average of both tanks. The round gauges will not show 2 fuel bars. Only the square guages show the tanks separately. Is the only option to buy square? Could I put in another round fuel gauge? One tank drains faster than the other so I would like to know which one to fill

I think I figured out how to remedy this. I am putting in a selector switch. Basically interrupting the resistor wire to each tank. When I disconnect one tank it will display the other.

      Clever!

I was not aware of this "averaging" behavior of the round CL gauge
but if that is the case,
then yes, a simple work-around would be a SPDT ON-ON toggle switch
with the sensor lead from each tank on the poles,
and the Pink lead of the Yamaha gauge on the Common
