  • Engine Warm Up?

Recent surgery is keeping me off the water for at east 10 weeks. I have a Pursuit 2470 CC with a 250 h.p. Yamaha that I keep in the water. Should I warm up the engine every couple of weeks by idling at the dock for 20-30 minutes, or would it be OK to just let it sit unused for that period of time? Other suggestions? Fuel is stabilized. I live on the west coast of Florida so weather is not a factor in deciding the best approach. Thanks for any help.

Stabilized fuel and batteries being charged... that's all you gotta do. The engine will be fine. Anything else just makes you "feel" better. If you have the time and WANT to do it - go for it. But it's not necessary in the least bit.

I'd also flush the engine with fresh water (if used in salt water)..
