2016 F90 4 stroke leaking oil

That corroded hole is where the oil seems to be coming from.

Does it make sense oil is leaking from there?

its a steel plug, so apparently rusted through...

A bizarre degree of corrosion - as evidenced by the driveshaft also.

Does it makes sense oil leakimg from that plug?

Thanks for the update. Yamaha makes a lot of good products, outboards are not one their better ones

Look at the screws where i am assuming the steering yoke ends. Corroded as well

I hate to have tell folks this,,, time for different motor. You want to go boating or f-ing with a POS poor excuse of a motor.. That's your call. I'd go with anything than that Jap crap.

See the screws on the oil pump, guess what, corroded too

BTW ".saltaway" flushing and a good oil aerosol spraying helps. I would not spend any more time,, money on that yam POS

I guess you are not too fond of yamaha, lol
Seriously this should not happen on such an engine with less than 150 hours, always flushed after each outing.
