6H1-15 or 6H1-17

Can I install a 6H1-15 or 6H1-17 Yamaha power trim unit in my original 85HP 1991 2 stroke engine Model 85AE688L?

I suspect that your motor came with a -12-EJ trim and tilt assembly installed.

The -12 has been replaced all the way to the latest dash number. That being a -19-EJ.

There is no reason that I can see why a -15 or a -17 would not work.
