  • Yamaha F15A Oil leak from top muffler

Hi everyone, and sorry for my mistakes ... I write from Italy. I have a F15A 4-stroke outboard of 2000 which consumes a lot of oil. Initially I thought it was a problem with the piston bands, but the engine does not smoke oil and spark plugs are perfect. I noticed an oil release from the upper hole of the drain, even when the engine is off, but I can't understand from where it can leak ....

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean the metal gasket? I replaced it a few months ago, and honestly I didn't know if it was better to put a bit of sealant since the surfaces weren't perfect. Then I didn't put it, and perhaps it loses for this reason

I am not familiar with that motor, so not much help.

any place oil is that can get to the exhaust idle relief should be looked at
Why did you change that gasket?
did you use a new gasket?
