  • Where does this hose connect?? 2002 F225

I bought a boat from my neighbor, knowing it had been poorly maintained and needing work. Part of that was addressing the well known corrosion issues in the midsection, surprisingly not all that hard. Anyhow, I have almost everything back together but can't seem to figure out where this hose connects. Have looked at schematics and all over the engine, no luck. Any suggestions? It is the cooling system tell tale/pee hose. Where does it connect to the engine?? Thank you for any help you may provide!

Look for a nipple on the cylinder head where it goes to get water flow to the tell-tale(shown in second photograph)….

I suggest you not spend any effort to "look for a nipple on the cylinder head"

there is no such nipple, that's not where that hose connects.

It attaches to the bottom of the fuel cooler:

So that hose goes from the fuel cooler to the tell-tale outlet or is there another hose from the motor to the tell-tale outlet?!

          on that engine,
a hose goes from the tell-tale (the hose in the OP's photo)
          to the fuel cooler.
Then another hose from the fuel cooler to the regulator/rectifier.
Then from the r/r another length
which runs around the starboard side
to the extreme aft end of the engine,
and attaches at the bottom of the crankcase.

fairdeal, thank you for the response and exact location. Found it and was able to get It back on there. Again, thank you for solving the mystery!

Sounds like a lot more plumbing than my old C90….

How many hours on your F225 now? Are you still making the offshore runs for Wahoo?
