Command Link night mode

Have a brand new Yamaha Command Link on a new boat / motor (Yamaha 250 SHO). I’m having an issue with it randomly swapping to “night mode” during the day. Not a huge deal but you can’t see the data when that’s happening. I read the operating manual and checked the settings…appeared ok.

I know this sounds overly simple but check to make sure that the time is set correctly on it, or if feeding from a gps, that it is correct and connected. Had a similar issue once where it would default to 12:00 am when lost connection..
