  • Water in fuel

Today was the first water trial of my Whaler 27 with twin 2000 Yamaha 250 2 strokes. Ran fine for a short way then port motor shut down. Back at the dock I drained the fuel bowl. Out came creamy liquid with a purple tint. Obviously water but it looked like it was mixed with oil. Flushed out twice and motor ran fine. Out again and this time it was the starboard motor. Back at the house I drained that fuel bowl and same stuff came out. I know what water looks like mixed with water but this sure like water mixed with oil. What I don't understand is that my water separator filters had some water in them but no where near full of water. Any ideas?

not but so much water a water separator can handle.

kinda like only so much sheet a litter box can.

pump your tanks, clean them flush and clean all fuel lines, drain and flush the VSt's.

or be prepared to fight it and spend a LOT of jack.

    your boat, your money.
