    Hello,

New problem in the motor. Recently, after feeling like I had a fix, the motor was running nicely, running consistently, and had it's power back, I ran it out to my local river and unfortunately, it died while idling. I tried to restart it, and unfortunately I could hear the starter engaging but the flywheel wouldn't spin. I pulled it out of the water and removed the sparkplugs, and I was able to get the flywheel to spin again. However, the top cylinder spark plug had what looked like a melted ball of soft metal attached to the side electrode , which from what I've read on other forums is a bad news. I was able to pull it off and it was magnetic *sigh*.

Here is the question, is this motor damage past the point of no return? I'm guessing this was caused by an oil issue that was going on, but I'm unsure. I think the oil pump might be bad, so I'm going to bypass the oil pump and just go premix.

Is this two stroke burned out? Thoughts?

you need to find out where that piece came from and what locked up the motor

time to take it apart to find out.
after that then someone can decide if it is worth fixing
