Volts out of the R/R are DC and would be checked without a peak voltage adapter being used. Scale is set to DC.

Yes, you can test without it. Just be damn careful connecting the multimeter leads to the green wires with the engine running at 1500 and 3500 RPM. That flywheel can do some serious damage.
I forget if the lighting coil connector has pins or sockets. You just have to be able to make contact with the pin or socket with the multimeter test lead while the motor is running.

Yes I do! But it talks about using a test Harness "THAT " is what I don't Have, and my Question Was if I could test with Out it. I am Sorry for Any Miss understanding On My Part.

With the plug undone ( unloaded) you just hook into the open wires, but with the loaded connectors( hooked up) you can back probe the connectors where the wires run into them with a small paper clip or pin making sure you do not hurt the wire insulation and hook a alligator clip to them for you meter to get the reading.
But you really need the proper meter or a DVA adapter to be able to compare to minimum specs in manual.
