  • fuel pump

Coming back to the marina today the only way to keep the engine running was to pump the gas line primer bulb. Every time it would start to stall I would pump the bulb and it would run for about a minute and than I would have to pump the bulb again. I would guess this points to the fuel pump? Engine is a 1989 25 hp two stroke model-- 25 ELRW two cylinder.

I have twin F225's from 2003. After resolving most issues, I have trouble with the starboard engine only in running after a restart following 20 min or longer run time. I can restart by pressuring the fuel bulb but takes some effort. Any suggestions? If I am incorrect in how I post this I apologize as I'm new here. Thanks,

Sounds like failed/failing low pressure fuel pumps

          that raises eyebrows,
          if the VST needs fuel,
at most 3-4 deep squeezes of the bulb should fill it,

doing that shouldn't require an 'effort'
          what exactly do you mean?
