  • 2001 F25ESRZ Pilot Screw Factory Setting Yamaha 4 stroke carburetor

Hey Guys - Recently bought a used zodiac with a 2001 F25ESRZ 4 stroke motor on it that was running very poorly and i'm going through the process of getting it all dialed in. I've rebuilt the carburator and the idle is a bit weird on reassembly, appears to be running a bit rich. When i pulled my pilot air screw for the carb soak i unfortunately did not record how many turns out from seated it was and i believe that is my culprit. Does anybody know what the stock setting is on this part? Thanks in advance.

Thanks boscoe. Where can I find this information? Not seeing it in the service manual.

I don't see it in the service manual.

Some times Yamaha does not want folks to know. Or they over look putting it in.

The usual modus operandi is to count the number of turns in until lightly seated. Write down that information so that when the carburetor is reassembled you will know how to set it.
