  • How important are these.

    Mine have seemed to disappear, wondering if it had anything to do with motor cutting out at higher rpm. I covered with tape for now but I did also change out fuel pumps.
    Sure just coincidence but you never know.

    Can you better explain where these are on the engine?

    You changed the low pressure fuel pumps? Engine mounted pumps? What engine do you have? Did the cut-out happen after you changed the pumps?

      Their just plastic covers to protect from shorting out the terminals (12 volts from the battery)..
      It's the same as the RED cover on your positive terminal on your car..

      Un-less you really start poking about with something to ground, it's fine..

      And no, them missing won't cause the engine to act up.

        What I figured but you never know about gremlins..I have seen stuff like that in the past too close together that it causes arcing .I just put some electrical tape over them in the mean time.
