  • rusted engine bolts 2012 F 150

Just found out that the bolts and nuts have rusted through - These are the bolts from the engine to the mount. Any idea how many hours it takes to replace all four. I was told the engine has to be stripped down. Any thoughts on how typical this is on a 2012 F150. I have kept the boat on a lift for the last seven years. I have two engines to deal with on my Glacier Bay 2770. Thanks!

I No idea on hours or money needed to do that,
but did you ever wash that area down with fresh water and apply rust preventative?

Just looking at the parts diagram, the powerhead is off and may be in the way for the upper bolts.
Never did the job but at least you have somewhat an idea what's getting replaced...

Wonder why Yamaha would choose not to use stainless steel nuts/bolts in this key position?...

looks to me like there is no paint left and corrosion everywhere in that pic.
I have never seem a motor that bad before

              Especially one that "newish"..

Is it commercially used in salt water?
