but you swapped the coils and the problem did not move, how did that happen

The coil has one side of a push fit connector and the other side is the electrical input for the cylinder. Corrosion was present on the input side so plugging in another coil still failed to make the circuit complete..

Dielectric grease in that connector will stop future issues inside that connector...

A must, IMO...

Thank you for the advice. I have ordered the Dielectric grease today.
