I made the mistake of hauling the engine with the carb side down for a couple of hours. Oil has run out into the cowl. Now it as been sitting on the back of the engine prop down correctly for 5-6 weeks. What do I have to do before I run it. I plan on changing the oil and lower unit lube. Is there something else I should check before reinstalling on the boat.

Remove the spark plug to see if there is oil on top of piston, crank over with plug out to get oil out. If has oil on top of piston it will be hard to start and smoke excessively until clears out.
